Well good luck to her in 2028 when she’s up for election…and more importantly, preselection, I guess. See how well Labor rewards that loyalty with their Senate tickets.

Not a good look harassing jews outside a pub (with of course Jonathon Sri in tow) recently
You seriously gonna take the word of a Courier Mail hit piece supported by our pro-genocide Lord Mayor? Why not take it from the mouths of the people who were there: https://www.facebook.com/jonno.sri/posts/pfbid0367K3jZ7w3BskcQP3zpbFR4uKT8ww3sRrcQTnUz4BHkm1RZ5DHoNfkVy6m3df6m9Ul
The protest was not “harassing jews”, it was a peaceful protest against an explicitly zionist organisation, organised by workers at the venue that had hired itself out to these genociders.
Their first use was as a surgical tool.
Zagorathto Australia•Australia’s bowel cancer rates are world’s highest for under-50s. Scientists wonder if the gut microbiome is to blameEnglish1·17 minutes agoYeah I don’t have much of an intuition of how accidental poisoning would change between those ages, but 17–25 is famously the most dangerous age on the road, so I wasn’t surprised to see it higher.
Voting above the line is just a shortcut for voting before the line. It doesn’t change the underlying system.
I don’t agree. I supported Fatima Payman when she defected from Labor, I am in favour of Jacinta Price defecting from the Nationals to the Liberals, and even though I think she’s betraying her beliefs and her supporters and the country for some political power she’s unlikely ever to actually receive, I support Dorinda Cox’s right to do this if she thinks it’s the right move.
Our electoral system doesn’t elect parties. It elects people. If you don’t like that, you should advocate (as I do, by the way) for a change to a proportional system, such as the MMP used in New Zealand and Germany.
I quite liked purple today. It was actually the third category I found.
Happy cake day!
ZagorathOPto Baldur's Gate 3@lemmy.world•Devoted Pathfinder fans mod the DnD out of Baldur's Gate 3English1·5 hours agoI’ll admit I’ve never played one of their published campaigns, but a lot of this sounds GM-dependent. I tend to naturally run things a bit on the easier side, to where it feels like unless I’m going out of my way to provide a really serious threat, it’s always felt pretty much the same difficulty as my D&D games. I can’t relate to the idea that players just “scrape by” at all.
I wanted to move away from D&D anyway because I didn’t like the direction they were going (removing lore, breaking promises about supporting multiple play styles, etc.) and then the OGL debacle happened, as well as WotC’s other corporate bs. But I came to love Pathfinder for its 3 action economy and 4 degrees of success systems, which just feel so satisfying to me compared to the lacklustre D&D systems.

I’mma be honest, I find it a little hard to believe the cammer here couldn’t have stopped in time. Could just be an artifact of the wide-angle dashcam, but it looks like they barely tried to brake at all, and might even be accelerating down the shoulder. Not as big an idiot as the fuckwit cutting in front of a moving vehicle…especially give the lane ends soon, but still doesn’t look like good defensive driving.
Yeah same as Bandicoot, I can only ever view Reddit at old.reddit.com. The redesign is awful.

I spent ages on the pentathlon one. Noticed swim, fence, and shoot pretty quickly, but my brain saw “ride” and couldn’t think of anything other than cycling, which isn’t in the MP. So I thought for a bit that it could be “multi-sport event”. Until eventually it clicked…horse riding.
No idea how ice fits into the blue category, but I figured out the other 3.
Zagorathto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your favorite educational or informative YouTube channels?English2·1 day agoYeah, I’m always rather sceptical and have my guard way up when I come across a creator talking about religion. If it hadn’t been for the greater trust I automatically have in a creator being added to Nebula (which is where I first came across this channel), I don’t know if I would have started watching it. But I certainly don’t regret it.
Ok thanks for clarifying what you meant in that edit. But I don’t really understand what you mean by toxic. Could you point to a handful of examples of the toxicity from within the last month or so?

Zagorathto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How important are the actors voices when determining if a movie is bad or good? Could changing the voice of an actor turn a really bad movie into a good one?2·2 days agoI agree. It’s rarely going to turn something abjectly terrible into a masterpiece, but it’s much easier for it to ruin something. Watch the clips of Darth Vader with David Prowse’s voice and ask yourself if that version of Star Wars would have been as iconic.
Seems kinda like pointing an “unloaded” gun at yourself.
For the purposes of safety, always assume the gun is loaded…and always assume a chains will be engaged.
